That is, start with a few reels of wire and heaps of connectors, fuse boxes etc. That kind of thing really gets old. I would recommend this program from what experience that I have had. Its fairly easy to use and the circuits you design can be tested in the virtual world. Good suggestion from others.

Yeah - except with them being race cars they could be anywhere and as much as I'd love to follow them round Europe they're not sufficiently 'high budget' that they could afford to pay me to: I need to make a couple of custom looms. Smartdraw trial version is just something that you can play with you can't actually use it because they water mark the drawing when you save it.
Capish now ; I thought it is something else. If you can use this software, you will be amazed at what it can do.
I did also find this HarnWare - Welcome to Harnware. That kind of thing really gets old. I would recommend this program from what experience that I have had. I used to have Autocad back in the 80's Cgack NO out of the box solution. Good suggestion from others.

VeSys 2.0 Scalability
As I said, it's possible with existing 'circuit' design software or a pencil and some paper but I just wondered if there was anything more appropriate out there that would make it easier and also give me nice wiring diagram print-outs to give to the car owners so they can maintain it themselves after. I like the ptogram for what little I tested. I don't know if anyone else has done or does this.
I'm sure it's changed a bit now: You dont want to do that, dont give them anything, if there's a problem with it later they can bring it back to you so you can make a few more????
I'm sure the PC gurus there will know of something. Search the software section of this forum and you will find a cracked one.
Thanks for explanation again. Basically you cant design a car, ship or plane without this software and it happens to have a module that does exactly what you need.
Being race cars they're relatively simple from a wiring point of view and when I've done this before I've just done it using pen and paper and my noodle. Its fairly easy to use and the circuits you design can be tested in the virtual world.
